As a mail, parcel, pallet & freight forwarder we cannot resell transit insurance. This is part of the new legislation by the Financial Services Authority (FSA) in the UK.

From the FSA link UKairfreight operates under the rules of bullet point three: You could restrict your activities to merely providing information to your customers about brokers or insurers who could arrange insurance for them and leaving your customers to contact the brokers or insurers direct.

Therefore we recommend you contact either your business or household insurer or an independent insurance broker to advise over your required transit insurance pre shipping. We recommend you do this for all items despatched.

When requesting a quote from an independent insurance broker, remember to tell them the value and item description to ensure they are correctly informed. As we cannot be held responsible on any advice or cover given to you by third parties.

Net2Logistics does offer an in house £100 maximum liability for items not on the excluded list and / or second hand goods, see the terms for details. This is not insurance cover, it is for damage on the basis the goods are not signed for in good condition and a way of offering some form of acknowledge of the service failure. You can apply for this via the postal form we submit. It does not cover refunds or consequential loss.
